Hei! I’m Jenna Hellberg.

I’m a multi-skilled Finn interested in many creative things

… with a special place in my heart for podcasting

I wish more small business owners and personal brands had podcasts.

1. More unique voices = more variety in the podcasts we consume.

2. Suuuuuper interesting pieces of thought leadership are getting lost in a sea of social media posts – when they could live evergreen on a podcast (and bring SEO magic to websites!)

3. Most other forms of content don’t quite match the familiarity and intimacy you feel when you’ve got someone in your ear.

Haaaaaave we met yet?

I’ve lived in San Jose, California for over a decade, and am preparing for a move back to Finland as I write this.

Nova is my favorite sidekick – and chai lattes are my fuel of choice.

I’ve worn a few hats:

  • I worked as career guidance psychologist in Finland for a couple of years before our move to California

  • I ran a documentary family photography business 2014-2024

  • I ran my podcast Building Balance for 2+ years on the side of helping business owners be productive in a balanced way

  • Now I want to help others make their podcast idea a reality – or simply take editing off their hands

Bits and pieces about me

  • The psychologist in me is skeptical of most personality profiles out there… but I’m an INFJ

  • I love to read, write, craft, watch hockey, dance, cook, bake, and have deep conversations

  • I can’t for the life of me take good landscape photos – I need there to be humans (or dogs) in my frame

  • Fantasy video games are a guilty pleasure I kept at arm’s length for too long (currently waiting for Final Fantasy VII remake part 2)

  • I’ll take any excuse to escape to the forest, and we go hiking most weekends

  • I’ve spent my life figuring out ways to simplify and organize the world around me – which many of my past employers have taken advantage of 😂

When you feel well, you do well – your free time is just as important as your business, and you shouldn’t have to sacrifice it to be “consistent” with your content.

What feels right to you is easier to stick to – so a regular marketing practice needs to match your personality, interests, capacity and availability.

A willingness to experiment is important – it can be hard to identify what works without trying things out.

You’re the expert on your topic – I’m here to give you a fresh perspective and personalized advice as someone who’s been podcasting for a while and has already made all the mistakes (so you don’t have to.)

A few things I believe about being a (podcasting) business owner

“ I found it easy to talk to Jenna because she always offered helpful advice after looking at my situation from different perspectives.”

I love that she gets what it’s like to run solo businesses, live in different parts of the world, speak multiple languages, and share a life with a partner (and a dog!) — I could always share what was on my mind without having to “translate” or water down my thoughts. I can’t wait to work with her again!
